terrorist style attack on a d.c. police station. that is just where the accusations begins. it gets bigger than that. sam ford has breaking details. sam? sam: yes, jonathan. according to police, clark calloway, age 38, d.c. construction worker and a marine vet was charged with two crimes. not just charged with terrorism. although it came out in the report. the f.b.i. threw his facebook post said he attracted their attention because of the pro isis statements. he was arrested last night after he bought an ak-47 rifle for $250 from an undercover f.b.i. agent. i was an individual who was also portraying himself as pro-isis. according to the court papers. the federal court this afternoo

with terrorism but was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. and receipt of a firearm with intend to commit a felony. according to the court comment he told the f.b.i. undercovers or informants he hated white people and he wanted the gun to shoot up the first district police station. he said he would not shoot the black officers and the muslims if they got out of the way. in court he told a judge he could not afford a lawyer. according to the court papers he bought is gun for $250 because he said he made $500 a week and had to buy it in payments. reporting from u.s. district court i'm sam ford, abc7 news. nancy: thank you. we're following breaking news out of new carrollton. this is live over the scene of a shooting at a home on caso counter. police have not given details on the shooting.

virginia. the future cast through the evening maintains a chance of a few acelated showers and storm -- few isolated showers or storms. there could be isolated downpour in spots later tonight. after that, the weather is uncomfortable tomorrow with more showers, gusty winds and chilly temperatures. we drop in upper 60's. today, from the storms we have had numerous reports of the localized flooding. wind report and over the portion of the southern maryland and northern virginia. wind damage. one of the spots with the wind damage is in king george county, virginia. that is where we find brad bell. brad? brad: hey, doug. take a look at this. the steam out of the power plant there on the other side of the potomac river and the nice bridge. that has been the direction all day. the wind is coming out of the south. fairly gentle now. but this morning. just after

8:30. a weather buoy recorded a gust just under the tornado strength. it moves through the community. in a tweet a navy sailor said the wind game cuddenly, over fast and -- came suddenly, over fast and very scary. three cars flimmed. like this one shown by the navy. a few others were damaged at a lot along the river. there was very little damage in the area. puddles and the branches down. across 301 from dogrin, the volunteer tim was surprised to find several trees down and the road sign blown away. >> i came over and walked down the woods looking for it. it was in good shape. wedged between the other trees. it must have blown 50 to 60 yards.

hunter mill. if it looks bad now look at the video from 10:00 a.m. when a white kia optima was stuck in the water. the driver pressed his or her luck. tried to drive through water and the it stalled. the driver had to be reed cued. we -- rescued. we had a busy day. tree removal crews had their hands full this morning. first in the 1800 block of randolph of street northwest. tree came down taking power lines with it. had it fallen in the opposite direction it would have hit a house with a family asleep inside. technicians had the power back up before sunrise but they still had to replace a transformer. next, a seven-minute drive away. another tree crashing down on clingler road northwest in the 2000 block. westbound lanes were shut down for hours as the crew cleared the mess. the e

kevin: it is, alison. as the investigation unearthed more witness interviews, high school surveillance video and forensic evidence, authorities admit they became increasingly skeptical of the girl's story. yesterday, the police department brass and the top prosecutors met to decide the best move. the decision to drop all the rape and the sexual assault charges against 18-year-old henry sanchez and 17-year-old jose montano. however, both men are not in the clear. montano's now facing charges of possession. distribution of child pornography. while sanchez has a possession of child porn charge. that stems from a racy nude video that police say the this-year-old girl sent montano the night before the rockville high school bathroom meet-up. montano is accused of then forwarding that video to sanchez. hence, the distribution charge. >> we have

organized crime ring well beyond the border of the county. nancy: jeff goldberg reports that the investigation started at a bank and ended up taking a surprising turn. jeff: this is one of the largest organized crime operations they have seen in the county. it started with bank fraud here in the falls church and the alexandria sections of fairfax county. the scheme started in january 2015 when 12 to 14 suspects engaged in check-kiting at nine banks. they would write checks and take out money from accounts that had no available cash. then they bought cigarettes from the stores and then they were respecting vehicles to transport the cigarettes to new york. >> price of cigarette in richmond is low. price in the northeas

extremely high. they will transport them up to new york and double the profit. it's extensive investigation and this is a very large group of people which is unusual. 19 of the individuals are in custody and the authorities are confident that they will catch the others. they brought in millions of dollars and a lot is unaccounted for. the federal authorities are looking into weather any of that money is linked to terrorism. jonathan: you can see what is left of the daylight trying to piece through the crowds to get sunshine.
